Calce Architecture Workshop, founded in 2000 by Mark Calce, takes a creative approach to urban revitalization and achieving architectural harmony.
As a former member of the NDG CCU, Mark has a particular sensibility for maintaining the integrity of NDG’s historical and charming architectural character. In this project he has conceived of design that stands out without sticking out.
For Grace Condominiums, Calce Architecture Workshop chose to highlight the most salient elements of the neighborhood’s design language: a low-rise building that follows neighboring rooflines, masonry along all facades, large balconies and smaller human-scale buildings.
Grace’s interior was imagined by Vanessa Brisset and Laurence Guimond of FAMDESIGN, a proudly woman-owned and operated interior design studio with expertise in high-end projects. Drawing on inspiration ranging from fashion to nature, FAMDESIGN creates unique spaces that are equal parts avant-garde and functional.
For Grace, FAMDESIGN incorporated natural wood and stone elements to evoke quality, comfort and warmth, features that transform an ordinary condo into a graceful home. Spacious open concept living and dining areas makes spaces perfect for entertaining or indoor-outdoor feel on warm breezy days.
Solid wood floors and quartz countertops in the bathroom and kitchen have been complemented by high-end plumbing fixtures. To add personalisation, owners can choose from several expertly curated interior design themes – Terra, Onyx, or Crema – all of which can be viewed in-person at the Grace sales office.
